3 Makeup Removal Mistakes You're Probably Making

I’ll be honest: when I was in my teens, I used to use my body wash to cleanse my face! The skin on your face gets a lot of exposure to harsh elements: pollution, dirt, UVB and UVA rays. It goes without saying that if you don’t care for your skin, it’s definitely going to show. Read the labels of your skincare products, and make sure you’re looking for gentle options that will help maintain your skin’s natural glow!

2. you’re neglecting moisture

So, you’re done washing your face… it feels great, right? Hold on, you’re not done! Right after a thorough cleanse is the right time to apply your moisturizer, because your pores are clean and ready to take in whatever goodness you’re ready to feed it! Again, watch out for ingredients that cater to your skin’s specific needs. While I’m lucky to not suffer from acne and breakouts, I do tend to have dry skin… which my body then overcompensates for, creating a greasy T-zone by the end of the day. I find that a good moisturizer helps my skin to find the perfect balance, and I always gravitate towards products that contain hyaluronic acid… for that extra boost of moisture.

While the skin on your face is very fragile in general, the skin around your eyes is even more so it needs a little extra love!
