When you live in a sprawling car-friendly city like Atlanta, making a trip across town to do the most mundane things becomes the rule, not the exception. Wanna catch a movie? You’re driving at least 20 minutes. Morning run? Not before you get in your car first. Shopping? Oh hello, traffic. Food delivery from your favorite place? Forget about it… especially if you live outside the perimeter, like I do.

It’s no surprise then, that when OASIS Fashion tapped me to share one of my favorite spots around my neighborhood, I hopped in my car and drove 40 minutes out of my way to Alpharetta, to spend the day at The Avalon – one of my favorite shopping hubs that’s tucked away in the suburbs, but full of some of my favorite shops, restaurants and cafes. So here it is guys, I’m sharing my day with you!

You’d think that with me having an entire website dedicated to my personal style, I would be the kind of girl to spend every moment of my free time in clothing stores, rummaging through racks and racks of apparel and accessories… guess again! I actually tend to do most of my clothes shopping online, so I spend most of my live shopping trips in furniture and home goods stores, looking for interior decor inspiration and fun additions to my cooking and kitchenware collection. My favorite go-to spot at The Avalon is West Elm, where I’ve found a majority of the amazing home decor pieces that I shared in my holiday gift guide a just few days ago.

EAT

If you live in Atlanta, you probably already know of the glory that is Antico’s Pizza… well guess what? They opened a new location for us OTP-dwellers up in The Avalon! If you love Italian-style super-thin crust, stone oven baked pizza, then this is the place for you. In addition to that, you can grab a pastry or some gelato on your way out… super indulgent, but SO worth it.

DRINK

Hi, my name is Coco and I’m a wine-o?? Naturally when it comes to the perfect place for a midday drink, I love spending the afternoon on CRÚ Food & Wine Bar‘s patio that overlooks the entire property. They have a pretty impressive menu and expansive wine selection… my favorite being the Malbec wine flight, even though I’m always ready for a nap right afterwards… the perfect end to a perfect day 🙂
