This Summer, Try A Colorful Eyeshadow Look

Summer should be fun… and we’re bringing those fun summer colors to today’s beauty look!
When it comes to my every day makeup routine, I tend to gravitate towards an iteration of the same look: glowy skin, a sharp cat eye and a nude lip. So when CHANEL sent me their newest OMBRE ESSENTIELLE collection, I thought: what if I tried this look… but with unexpected colors?
Now, you guys know I’m not a makeup artist or an expert by ANY stretch of the imagination, so I always love finding products that are so easy to use, that their quality expertly conceals my lack of skill. Needless to say, this makeup collection impressed me so much! The OMBRE ESSENTIELLE collection by CHANEL offers vibrant, pigmented colors that show up (even on darker skin tones as you can see!) and you can use these shades as liners, shadows… or even dust them along your brows for an artistic, avant garde flair.
recreate this look
- use rouge cuir on the inner and outer corners of your lids to create a cat eye shape
- tap rose charnel in the middle of your lid for dimension
- with your fingers, sweep a light dusting of beige fable over your lid for a light shimmer
- finish off with rouge cuir along your bottom waterline and noir allure mascara on your lashes
I’m always so bad at filming my makeup tutorials, because a lot of my fun, colorful looks take a lot of trial and error before I can finally blend together one that I love enough to share with you all — but let me know if you’d like to see more beauty looks like this in video form as well!
