Hermès FW24: The Second Chapter

fashion week6 months ago

O

On June 6, Hermès debuted a women’s runway show they’ve announced as “The Second Chapter” of their Fall – Winter 2024 collection.

I was so excited to hear that Hermès was coming to NYC to show a new collection. Their prior FW24 show in March was heavily inspired by biker style and equestrian fashion, which translated beautifully into its stud, zipper, and belting details. The collection offered a ton of structured leather pieces, biker boots, and an amazing array of outerwear from cinched blazers to oversized sherpa-detailed coats. I’m a sucker for intricate layering, so a lot of the styling caught my eye. See a lineup of the stunning looks here, or watch below if you prefer to see them in action.

what i wore to hermès nyc show

i had so much fun dressing up this hermès shirt with a butter yellow mini skirt and hermès accessories. did you catch the GRWM on tiktok?

The second part of the collection was more colorful and had a sportier vibe. There was a continuation of structured leather pieces, but these looks struck me as much softer and more vibrant, and included a more eclectic mix of materials like knits and silky scarves. Vibrant blues and reds were sprinkled throughout with an emphasis on layering accessories like belts, leather wrap bracelets and cuffs. See all of the looks here.

the devil is in the details

i thought my cravings would be temporarily curbed after securing this beauty but i was so wrong! i’m obsessed with these belts from the runway show.

p.s. if you’re on the market for an Hermès buy, my favorite sites to shop second hand Hermès are Fashionphile, Farfetch, and TheRealReal.
