Euro Summer Style 2025: What I Wore in the South of France

Euro Summer style is back, and in full swing!
Last week, I attended Cannes Lions for the first time (and made the New York Times!) — and can confirm that the South of France has given me endless inspo for nailing summer style.
Euro summer style is still living in its main character moment, and we’re all romanticizing our wardrobes accordingly. It’s that breezy, sun-kissed aesthetic that makes every outfit look like it belongs on the Amalfi coast, even if you’re just grabbing an iced coffee. Think crisp button downs half-tucked into linen shorts, strappy sandals that take you from the beach to dinner, and accessories that feel like souvenirs from somewhere fabulous. Summery fruit and beach motifs are also having their moments. It’s casual but considered, relaxed but romantic, and effortlessly pulled together in that “I just threw this on” way that somehow the Europeans have seemed to master.
What makes the Euro summer look so iconic is its focus on timeless, effortless pieces. A simple slip dress or crochet cover up becomes a statement when paired with tortoiseshell sunnies, a sleek low bun, and a unique bag. Lightweight sets, basket totes, and gauzy separates in classic and elevated neutrals make getting dressed feel like a vacation – even if you’re staying local. And whether you’re actually on a boat in Positano or just dreaming about it from your NYC rooftop, Euro summer style is all about embracing that carefree but put-together feeling from head to toe.
