Elevated Basics

If someone asked me to describe my personal every day style, I’d say that this outfit captures it pretty well. I think the way people elevate their wardrobe basics is one of the truest testaments to a person’s style — even more so than the fancy high-end pieces we all love and adore (Exhibit A: this gorgeous Chanel bag!). You’d think that there are only so many ways to work sneakers and a plain white tee into an outfit, but when you wear them your way, it’s basic pieces like these that say volumes about you even before you open your mouth to say a word.

On its own, I love this sleeveless, strapless jumpsuit as is, and I’d probably wear it with strappy sandals and a statement choker necklace if I were headed out for a night on the town, but I love this dressed-down look that works for daytime by swapping out the sandals for sneakers and wearing a t-shirt underneath it to maximize the comfort I need when I’m on the go.
