Layering Up For Winter

An alternative running title for today’s post was “Snowpocalypse Aftermath” because there’s nothing more hilarious than watching the South go wild over 2 inches of snow… but hey guys, HAPPY MONDAY, we did it — made it through the weekend and through yet another over-hyped snowstorm
Living in the south means having to deal with a perpetual unpreparedness for winter weather… which means that all the snow-turned-ice rendered me homebound for most of the weekend with ample time to catch up on Vanderpump Rules and watch last night’s Golden Globes.
Since I don’t live in a northern city that requires me to stock up on heavy-duty parkas and snowboots every year, the key to staying warm through random spurts of freezing weather is layering up! That means it’s time for me to roll out my wool hats, warm sweaters (I love this Banana Republic sweater so much that I bought it in white too), longer coats, socks and anything else I can do to add on extra padding… without looking like the Michelin Man. Not that the Michelin Man doesn’t have it going on, I think he’s got those winter whites on lock
