Berlin in 3 Days

Last week, I took a trip that’s been on my to-do list for quite a few years now: BERLIN. Lots of you may not already know, but I used to live there for five years! I don’t get to go back as often as I wish I could, and my original plan was to pass through the city after Paris Fashion Week back in September… but things got so busy, so I put a rain check on it and ended up planning a short trip as a follow-up to my collaboration project with Hilton Hotels from earlier this year instead.

I checked into the Hilton Berlin and had the best experience there, even though it was such a short stay! The hotel is located right in the middle of the city, with the Gendarmenmarkt Christmas market across the street, high-end shopping at Galeries Lafayette around the corner, and walking distance to some of Berlin’s best tourist spots like Museumsinsel and Brandenburger Tor if that’s your thing. I spent most of my trip sipping glühwein, catching up with friends, shopping and re-visiting my favorite places around the city… some of which have changed, but a lot is still the same and it really made for a special experience… especially when I reflected on how different my life was the last time I was here four years ago.

I know that I had planned to share A LOT more from my trip, but a big part of me was just so happy to be back and reconnected to old friends and familiar places that I ended up turning off my phone and living in the moment instead. Looking back now, I realized that this is the only non-work-related trip I’ve taken all year, so I think it my time spent off the grid for a couple days was well worth it. I will definitely be back soon though, and hopefully in warmer weather. So let me know what you want to see from one of my favorite cities next time in the comments below!
