How to Take Your All Black Outfit from Basic to Badass

If you know me, you know I love a casual #OOTD… even better when it’s a lot of elevated casual pieces, to create the perfect combination of comfort and style. This may be a fashion blog, but it’s all about real, every day style.. and today’s it’s an all black outfit!

It’s no secret that one of the quickest ways to creating a chic look lies in monochrome and/or tonal dressing… but one of the pains of rocking a head-to-toe outfit in on color if that it can look a little… blah when not done right. If you’ve got any fashion goals in your New Years resolutions, it’s definitely time to take your wardrobe from basic to badass… and you can easily do that with the pieces you already own, by mixing and matching them just right!

So what’s my secret rocking a monochrome, all black look? The devil’s in the details! An open back sweater (that’s just as soft as it looks), a leather bag that’s unexpectedly weaved basket-style, wax-coated jeans with an unique slouchy fit… et voilà!
