Styling Workwear into the Weekend

Happy hump day 🙂 It might be juuust a little too early to start daydreaming about weekend plans, but if there’s one thing I live for on a Friday evening after work — it’s getting together with friends over drinks to finally unwind after a busy week!

Fall is here, which means that it’s sweater season! My workwear looks always feature my favorite sweaters and cardigans of the season, so of course I had to do a little knitwear restock in time for the season change. Ann Taylor is always on my list of stores to pick up tailored pieces that look great for work (I wore an Ann Taylor skirt to the Net-A-Porter event at Instagram’s New York HQ office earlier this week!), and the best part about it is their pieces is that they look great for after-work events and dressed-up weekend affairs as well.

I think my pants are my favorite part of the look; they’re the perfect fit, and I can’t wait to dress them down with a graphic t-shirt this weekend! Heading to San Francisco for a super short visit… hopefully… I haven’t booked my flight yet, so I’m crossing my fingers to find a good flight! Hope you’ve all had a great week so far! x
