If you’ve scrolled through social media, or followed your fashion publications lately — I’m sure there’s no way you’ve missed the news: Gen Z says skinny jeans are dead, passé, and SO yesterday. But… are they really? I’ll be honest — when I look at my denim collection, I’ve definitely noticed a shift from figure hugging fits to more relaxed and straight leg silhouettes. But that doesn’t mean I’m tossing all of my skinny jeans JUST yet! Skinny jeans still come in handy when you’re styling particular looks, and today we’re gonna explore why you can wear your skinny jeans in 2021.

My favorite thing about skinny jeans is that they’re the one denim style that still lets you show off your shoes! They’re the perfect choice to pair with statement heels, and the best option to tuck your boots into as well — which is definitely going to come in handy as we start rolling into the Fall and Winter seasons. Unlike other denim silhouettes, skinny jeans also tend to have more stretch to them, so they’re actually a lot more forgiving than the name implies and they’ll mold to fit your body no matter what changes it’s going through.

So what do you think? Are skinny jeans dead, or will you still be rocking yours? I’m curious to know how your styling your favorite pair of skinnies in 2021 😊 Don’t forget to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, where you can find great discounts on your Fall wardrobe refresh, beauty favorites and so much more!
