So I’m back in Atlanta after an incredible long weekend spent in New York City with one of my good friends from Paris, who was celebrating her 30th birthday… but the only thing I can think of whenever I come back from NYC is how amazing it would be to be able to call that city my home. As some who’s spent pretty much most of my life living in major cities, urban living in in my blood — I always feel so alive whenever I’m in big cities, and I’m seriously considering a huge move in 2017. After doing NYC and LA within a one-month span though, the question is, which one will win out? What do you guys think, should we take Millennielle to the east or west coast?
While in NYC, my friends and I did brunch at Bagatelle (if you follow on Snapchat {cocobassey} you probably caught all the shenanigans there), the incredible Sleep No More interactive theater show, lots of window-shopping and sight-seeing, and I also dropped by the super cute Bloglovin’ HQ office in Soho to say hi!
I shot this look with my friend Denisse on Tuesday during my last morning in the city. The outfit is basically a coincidental mix of all the goodies I treated myself to on Black Friday: This gorgeous back-cropped sweater that I fell in love with after seeing it on my latest favorite YouTube obsession, violette_fr (if you aren’t following her already, you ABSOLUTELY need to, her on-the-go makeup skills are A-1!)… these super comfy nude pumps from Acne Studios that I spotted on Michelle//Take Aim and immediately knew I needed in my life… and the most amazing pair of Madewell jeans I currently own (and I own a LOT of them — you guys already know how obsessed I am with Madewell denim!).
I didn’t buy these pieces with the initial thought of putting them together in one outfit, but it just worked for a casual day in the city before heading to LaGuardia for my quick flight home. Maybe one day, I’ll be able to call New York home once and for good #goals 🙂
