The Red Dress

This spring/summer, I challenged myself to inject a little bit more color into my wardrobe, and i think it’s safe to say that I’m actually starting to fall in love with playing around with color! This gorgeous red dress from Chicwish, (which is an absolute steal at it’s price by the way), was the perfect outfit to wear out for brunch. The gladiator sandals are another new item I stepped a little out of my comfort zone to get too… I used to think gladiators were too gaudy and tacky, but apparently you can wear anything as long as it’s done minimally and tastefully. The more you know!

If you follow me on Instagram you already know that last weekend, I FINALLY bit the bullet on something I’ve wanted to to for so long — I got a helix piercing! So what took me so long? Well first of all, I don’t know how most people choose with side of their ears to get piercings in… I was literally contemplating it for weeks!!! I switch up my hair part so often, so it was really hard for me to decide which side to add an earring to. I finally settled on the left, so now I have a helix and lobe piercing on the left… and two lobe piercings on the right. If this is what the beginnings of an ear party look like, I am 100% here for it! Anyway, now that I’m “stuck” with a trinity crystal stud until my helix piercing heals, I’ve been on the hunt for jewelry that complements it well. You guys already know I’m a sucker for non-grandma-looking pearls, so when Michael Hill sent me these drop earrings they were PERFECT. Definitely check out their website if you’re on the hunt for beautiful, yet affordable gold, diamond and pearl pieces to add to your trinket collection!

Shop the look below, and have a very happy Memorial Day!
