Let me start by saying: I did this makeup look ALL BY MYSELF! As a lot of you probably know, I tend to turn to my MUA friends for help when I want my makeup done well… but sometimes, all it takes is patience, a little bit of creativity… and of course, some of the best beauty products in the game.
This season, the biggest makeup trend is all about bold, retro 80’s-inspired washes of color over the eyelids… and basically going bare everywhere else. I honestly never thought I’d be one to be able to pull off electric blue eyeliner, but after popping into Nordstrom and chatting with a specialist, he introduced me to Tom Ford Cream & Powder Eye Color Duo and showed me how I can use this one product to make the look work so effortlessly! Using my finger to apply the shimmer all over my lid, and a small angled brush for the blue cat eye, this look was so easy to recreate all by myself!

Stepping outside the box with a far-out eye color, means striking a balance with a more subdued look every where else. I finished my skin with my favorite foundation of the moment, opted for a very subtle Chanel highlighter and layered my lips with Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre glosses — keeping all of the focus on my eyes.
