It may be sub-zero degrees outside in Atlanta today, but today’s post is all about that island life! Super excited to share some of my favorite shots from my visit to St. Kitts & Nevis with the Four Seasons, where we enjoyed some fun in the sun on my first EVER visit to the Caribbean.
First things first, was it worth the trip? Absolutely, YES! Four Seasons Nevis just had a huge re-design of their interiors and everything looked so gorgeous! Our room was light and bright, with lots of beachy accents… so even when you weren’t outside, you still still feel like you’re in full-on vacation mode. Not to mention the amazing staff, who were all so nice! Friendliness is deeply-ingrained in Nevis’ culture, and it was honestly so refreshing to have met so many warm personalities during our stay.
We spent the first couple of days doing lots of tours of the Four Seasons Nevis property, as well as the island of Nevis itself. One of the things that I loved about Nevis was how green and natural everything was… of course you would expect that from a Caribbean island, but Nevis was on another whole level. The island prides itself on being the “greenest island on earth” — while most other vacation destinations are overrun with tourist traps and westernized eateries, Nevis has always maintained it’s authenticity. There are more monkeys than there are people on the island, and there is not a fast food restaurant in sight! Instead most of what we ate were the freshest catches of the day, right from the water.
Even though our visit was brief, I’m so happy I had the opportunity to kick off the year traveling to such a beautiful, inspiring place with one of my favorite hotel properties. The Four Seasons always knows how to make a girl feel special, and I can’t wait to bring my family and friends back to St. Kitts & Nevis for another visit soon!
