Quick look from brunch yesterday — I’ve been lugging this blanket scarf around with me all season, but at the risk of looking like Lenny Kravitz in an NYC winter, I haven’t really bothered to make it the central part of an outfit I’ve shared on my blog.

For those of you who’ve been into the cape trend this season, without wanting to put the money down on a passing fad – try belting your favorite oversized scarf. The result is, dare I say, the most fashionable “cape” you’ll ever own! Best part is that it doubles as an extra warm scarf when you wear it with a coat (and even triples as a blanket when you need an extra layer of warmth sitting at your desk at work)!

Oh, and if you were wondering what’s in that bag, I’ll have you know it’s cake. I’m not kidding, it’s an sinfully gigantic slice of Café Intermezzo‘s Caribbean Coconut Torte, and I’m not even sorry that it happened 😉 Happy Monday!
