Last week, we ditched the mild temps of Atlanta and headed to Vail, Colorado for some snow and skiing in partnership with the beautiful Four Seasons Resort property. Now, when it comes to cold-weather style, I love my heavy winter layers… but I knew I needed some serious help to prep for a week of sub-zero temps. I tapped my friends at Net-A-Porter, who were so kind to stock up my wardrobe for my trip… and now I’m sharing my winter uniform with you!
For the most part, all of my outfits started with an oversized knit sweater… the bulkier, the better — I’m all about the heavy winter layers right now, and when done right, they make for a great foundation to any cold-weather outfit! My sweater’s by Self Portrait, but here’s the same style from GUESS for less than $50!
It’s honestly been a while since I played around with tailored pants, but I am obsessed with these ones by Victoria Beckham. I’ve always been a long-time admirer of her style, but for some reason I had never actually tried anything from her label until now… and suddenly I understand how she looks so great all the time. The fit of her pieces is impeccable! These trousers are tailored to perfection, and I loved them so much that I wore them in salmon pink too.
Like most things in fashion, making an outfit work is all about balance: slouchy with fitted… creases with loose knits… and of course in this case, heavy winter knits with lighter tailored bottoms! How are you styling your winter looks this season?
