How To Style Bell Sleeves

Raise your hand if you’re sick of “how to wear” tutorials, that don’t actually teach you anything at all 

 It’s alright, I’m seriously right there with you! I had this Pixie Market bell sleeved top bookmarked for weeks and when it finally came back in stock, I pulled the trigger…. and then the shirt came in, and I had no idea what to do with it or how to style it. YIKES. Confession: even I get whatever the equivalent of writer’s block is for fashion bloggers from time to time!

When moments like that come to me, one of the first things I do is completely scale everything back to the basics. A black top and jeans? Not so groundbreaking… but then add a bell sleeves silhouette and a cropped denim fit, and suddenly you have an outfit that warrants a sartorial double-take. To top it off? The perfect pair of Chanel slingbacks, of course… and guess what, Chanel slingbacks are BACK this year in a bunch of new colors, textures and heights! So if you missed last year’s rush, swing by your favorite department store to pick ’em up for yourself while they’re still in stock (if you’re in Atlanta, I recently saw them at Neiman Marcus!)

So bottom line, when it comes to “how to wear” tutorials… keep it simple, stupid. Always.
