Pieces of Paris

By this time last year, I was gearing up for my trip to Paris — I can’t believe that it’s already been a year since then! 2015 has seriously flown by, but I’m super excited about what’s to come in the next twelve months, and I hope that you guys are too. The new year always brings the feeling of a fresh start, and I have tons of projects and plans up my sleeve that I honestly cannot wait to share with you soon!

In the spirit of nostalgia… I’m collaborating with the Parisian-street-style-inspired brand, Maison Jules, to share my favorite French destinations in Atlanta that you can go to whenever your tastebuds are craving or missing a little bit of culture and cuisine from across the pond! You wouldn’t believe it, but Atlanta has tons of international restaurants across the entire city. My favorite spots are always the neat little places tucked away deep inside residential neighborhoods — if you’re an Atlanta resident and you haven’t taken the time to explore Morningside, now’s probably the best excuse to do so because that’s where I’m taking you today!

Pastries, imported wine and condiments, holiday cakes, lunch options and little knickknacks — Alon’s Bakery & Market has everything! I always spend a little more than I had planned to whenever I walk into Alon’s… my latest “totally necessary (but not really)” purchases? Truffle mayonnaise, Fig  confit and a bottle of imported Pinot Noir. So yeah, basically… if you need me, I’ll just be over here noshing on wine and crackers for the rest of the year

You wouldn’t believe it at first, but there are SO many good French restaurants in Atlanta — and I’ve made it my personal mission to hit up every single one of them, of course 🙂

Atmosphere Bistro is a recent discovery of mine actually, but I’ve since become a huge fan! The restaurant is set in a repurposed cottage-style home, complete with complimentary valet service, a huge patio dining area upfront and a super cute interior — so you’re covered for an amazing dining experience, no matter the time of year.

Being that I usually go to Atmosphere for brunch, I always always ALWAYS get my brunch favorite: The Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict / Eggs Florentine. I swear to God, if I ever had to choose what my last meal on earth would be, it would probably be just that!

I’ll be a honest — I  pushed back on uploading this blog post after the recent happenings in France. To be honest, it’s still not over, and there are people across the globe who are living in fear for their lives every day. I hope you guys will join me this holiday season to take a moment to appreciate the people around you that you love, and make an effort to show your loved ones just how much they mean to you. In addition to that, make an effort to spread some kindness outside your immediate circle by donating time and money to those who need it the most, especially at this time of the year — because with everything that’s going on right now, I don’t think there can ever be such a thing as too much love
