Introducing the Varsity Jacket
Sharing my favorite investment piece of the season, thanks to the most recent Shopbop sale: my Opening Ceremony varsity jacket. It wasn’t until I received it in the mail that I came across photos of Jessica Alba and Rihanna wearing the exact same one… so I feel like that’s all the validation I need to know this one’s a keeper!
Varsity jackets are basically like bomber jackets on steroids: think heavier, warmer… and with a hell of a lot more statement-making embellishments. Granted, for the most part, that statement is supposed to be you supporting your favorite team or player… but for a girl like me who would rather be at Fashion Week than a live college football game, this iteration of the varsity jacket right up my alley
