Simple Summer Layers…

Happy Monday! It’s already felt like it for the past several weeks down here in Atlanta, but as of yesterday, it’s OFFICIALLY summer now — fire up the grills!

While I will admit that summer doesn’t strike the same chords it once did back when I was in grade school (where the HELL is the petition to bring the 3-month summer holiday into the real world?!), I’m always up for the mental vacation summer style brings: brighter colors, bolder prints, shorter hemlines, loose, flowing silhouettes… what’s not to love? As you’ve probably come to expect by now, H&M has tons of beautiful, affordable staple and trendy pieces in store this season, so be sure to check ’em out in store and online! 

Sartorial musings aside, I’m currently on the hunt for the perfect summer read. It’s crazy how busy life can get sometimes – if I told you the last time I put aside enough time to read a book from cover-to-cover, you’d probably be too embarrassed for me, but I’m making it a goal to get back into my old habits this summer with a good old-fashioned book. If you’re also looking for a book to take to the beach this summer but don’t know where to start, Refinery29 has a great list of book recommendations.
