If I were asked to identify one of the biggest changes I’ve made to my personal style since moving to New York City, it would be prioritizing dressing for comfort always. Now, that doesn’t mean schlubby sweats, and old t-shirts from college! No, putting a New York City spin on everyday comfort wear means finding stylish ways to accommodate a lifestyle of longer walks, bike rides, metro rides and hauling bags of groceries home on foot! Today I styled a look with head-to-toe picks from Saks Fifth Avenue, to share how I dress for comfort during my NYC commute… while still keeping it chic 😉

If you guys follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed that I fell in love with a brand this summer that I’ve been wearing non-stop: A.L.C (also worn HERE and HERE)! Today’s outfit is another A.L.C. look and this one is a combo of great pieces that are perfect as we’re starting to transition into the Fall season: a luxe collared sweatshirt paired with buttery soft faux leather shorts — both in beautiful neutral shades that complement each other so well.
I accessorized my neutral outfit with my favorites: my back Bottega Veneta cassette bag (you’d know this one’s an everyday favorite of mine, if you watched my latest IGTV video!) and my chain-accented mules — the shoes that have definitely gotten me the most compliments whenever I wear them out and around New York City! The bold gold hardware adds an edge to these Birkenstock-esque shoes, so they’re such a good pair of shoes to comfortably wear around the city, no matter where I’m headed. And there we have it! A cute and comfortable outfit, made for an NYC commute.
