Still daydreaming about my time in Rome with St. Regis Hotels, but if you didn’t catch all the live action on my Instagram Stories — let’s look at everything I wore during my first visit to Italy!
After arriving in Rome mid-morning Thursday, we took the day to relax from our 10hr flight before getting ready for the St. Regis Welcome Reception in the evening. Because it was a pretty laid back soiree, I opted for this fun mini floral dress I’ve had for a while from Blue Life. Paired with some of my favorite black accessories from Dior (bag) and Sézane (shoes), it was the perfect way to get dressed up for my first evening in Italy.
Thing’s got quite a bit fancier the following day, which as you know, we spent with Sentebale and the Duke of Sussex at the annual charity polo match — so I opted for a dress from one of my favorite designers: Zimmermann! White always looks amazing in the summertime, and the detailing on this dress is to. die. for. It’s definitely going to be making a comeback this summer for sure!
The following day, we headed on a short drive outside the city for a tour of Appian Way, to see the ruins and have lunch at the most beautiful villa I’ve EVER seen! If you’re wondering what “country-chic” looks like, this matching set from NICHOLAS The Label is totally nailing it! The square neckline is one of summer 2019’s biggest trends and it couldn’t be more flattering on a bustier-fitted top.
For our last evening on Saturday, we went to dinner in an ancient Roman bathhouse. Its so incredible, and such a lovely way to round out an amazing weekend. I wore a dress from my friend Asiyami Gold’s latest collection — her brand is called A.Au, and every single piece from her brand is 100% designed and produced in Nigeria! #MadeInAfrica
One last look, speaking of that lunch out in the countryside… here’s what I actually wore for it! I mean, let’s be honest… we were in Italy and the food was GOOD, so it was time to dress down and get a little comfy for a delicious meal. A simple white t-shirt with a floral skirt was just right for the occasion.
Thanks again to my friends at St. Regis for an incredible first visit to Rome, Italy! I will definitely be back soon 🙂
