What's In My Bag?

Uncategorized9 years ago

You all know the drill already, so let’s get right into it: What’s in my bag? Here we go…

  • The Basics — keys, wallet, phone, charger… obviously, like any other person, I can never leave home without any of these, but being the forgetful person I am (the number of times I’ve lost my wallet, locked myself outside, or had my phone die on me at the most inopportune moment is astoundingly embarrassing), I always have to double-check for these 4 things before I leave home.
  • For on the go touch-ups — If you get an oily T-zone like I do, Make Up Forever HD powder is an absolute GODSEND. I don’t ever leave home without mine, and since it’s a completely translucent powder, I can do quick touch-ups even without the help of a mirror!
For my lips, I like to carry a sheerer color on me — although I’m a MAC girl all the way, I have to say that it’s definitely a lot harder to apply their bolder colors unless you have at least five minutes, a mirror, and probably a lip liner too. Dior’s Rouge Dior Nude Lip Blush in “Esquisse” is perfect for me when I’m on the go: it’s sheer, glossy and slightly pigmented, which makes it really easy to swipe on even when I’m not in front of a mirror (I’m starting to think I really need to get a compact mirror for my bag!!).
And then, of course, for the days that I look like a hot mess, I can always rest easy behind my favorite pair of shades 🙂
  • Stress Relievers — Unlike the average blogger, I actually do work a regular 9 to 5 job in the tax and accounting industry. Yeah, I’m sure you all can imagine what life right now looking like for me now, right in the middle of tax season… my weekends are NEVER long enough! It’s always nice to keep a stress reliever at hand — I’ve always found music to be very therapeutic for me (thus my headphones to tune out whenever I need to), and recently I’ve been trying out these pastilles as a stress-relieving alternative to unhealthy vending machine snacks at work. It’s chock-full of natural ingredients that are supposed to help you chill out… I don’t know if it’s for real or just a placebo effect, but it actually works for me! Weird, right? I’m never one to shill products that I don’t actually believe in or use myself, so when I was approached by Bach to share my experience using their products with you guys, I figured why not!

I don’t think I’ve missed anything, since I literally dumped out the contents of my bag to photograph and share with you guys, but what are some of your daily must-haves that you can never leave home without, and how do you deal with stress? Leave a comment below!
